The expertise and personable service they bring to the table is unmatched. Throughout the project the inevitable curveballs was handled with ease, communication directly with Alan and Jeff is a daily guarantee, and the timeline was spot on. Most recently Concept Building undertook a project to remove one and renovate a second chimney in my home, including removal of fireplaces and remodeling others. As always their work was excellent from liaising with the different subcontractors involved, to protecting the rest of the house from dust and damage, to completing the job in a timely manner.Previously, Concept building managed a large project in our former house bringing many aspects of an older property up to Building Code, integrating a whole-house media system, installation of new hardwood floors, rewiring, carpentry, refinishing fireplaces, refinishing popcorn ceilings and redecorating. Again the work was managed in a first class way, with all the subcontractors involved being of the highest standard and working in a clean and efficient manner.

Concept Building did a terrific job renovating our kitchen. They were timely, professional, clean and easy to have around. The project took about 10 weeks and everything was on time. The only concern I have with this firm is that the budget exceeded what we had initially projected. Perhaps this happens with most projects, but we spent more than we intended. I would highly recommend Jeff and Alan though. They are professionals, take the job seriously, and do high quality work. They are both extremely responsive and easy to reach and communicate with.

I interviewed 6 builders for my historical home renovation and decided on Concept Building. I was very impressed with their proposal which came in close to budget. I was also impressed with the teamwork. Concept kept me in line with my budget and respectfully let me know if my choices would add or decrease the pricing. The team is extremely dedicated and responsive to texts, emails and calls including nights and weekends. It’s comforting to know that they are not far when something needs to be discussed, changed or just talked about. The entire team of workers were all kind and very respectful to the neighbors since they had to work in close proximity to the neighbors through this very cold winter. We are absolutely thrilled with the first floor remodel that Concept Building completed for us last year. They were terrific to work with! The project came in on time and on budget, and we are thrilled with the outcome. We lived in the house during the construction. The Concept team made it so easy – they installed a small kitchen for us in our dining room, put up temporary walls to prevent dust and noise and cleaned up every night. The communications were terrific, and they always let us know what was happening each week. Jeff was always very responsive to our suggestions and also helped us with many decisions. The sub-contractors were all top-notch as well. We are so happy with our new kitchen and space. We would definitely recommend Concept Building!

I highly recommend Jeff and Alan. Words can’t describe their level of professionalism. They are extremely detail oriented, and helped us from the very start to finish create our dream addition. Their insights were invaluable, and they did whatever they needed to do to source the proper materials for all the detailed designing that went into the project. Building on a home from 1890 meant there was a lot of uncertainty in the up-front planning of the project. Alan didn’t hesitate at any curveball that came his way, and handled everything with top quality management and craftsmanship. They were attentive, always available, and they continue to be a great resource for us even now after the project is finished! I can’t imagine anyone is a better general contractor.

Concept building has completed two, (one large, one small) projects for us. We lived in our home during both projects and in essence lived with the construction crew for months. Every aspect of the experience was positive and professional, and conducted with open communication throughout. Oh, and, it looks beautiful! I began my relationship with Jeff & Allen of Concept Building as a service provider, photographing a number of their recent projects for an editorial assignment. Each home we shot for them was more impressive than the previous one. I came to admire their skill and professionalism to such an extent, that they are now working on a major bathroom renovation for my house.
Their crew is prompt, efficient, courteous and clean. We live in a small antique farmhouse and although each day of the renovation there is tremendous change to the work site, there is little to no evidence that they have been there anywhere else in our house or around the property.
Jeff’s ability to comprehend our design plans and execute the process with a diverse group of subcontractors and materials suppliers is a great asset to the project. I look forward to posting the pictures of our finished bath soon.
